13:00-14:00, 16.12.2020, on Zoom Webinar

In December 2020, Digital Futures organized an online seminar to discuss the impact of Covid-19 pandemic to society, people and technology. The event was open to researchers, students and staff members interested on the topic.

The topic of the seminar was responding to Covid-19 with contact tracing apps and how they relate to law. In his opening speech, Associate Professor Viljanen, from the Faculty of Law, focused on the Koronavilkku app to reflect on the interrelationship between law and technology. His presentation was followed by a commentary given by Professor Mylly, whose research expands from global and European intellectual property law to competition law of the digital society.
